FIRST PERSON PLURAL
2000

January 7, 2001

P.O.V. on PBS

Produced by Deann Borshay.

Korean-American adoptee finds out she's not who she thinks she is and sets off to find her birth mother.

As an adoptee I was enthralled from start to finish. Borshay grew up all-american in the Bay Area, went to Berkeley, and started her life. As an adult, she felt something missing which started her search. The reunion scenes with her white and Korean families are a bit hard to watch. Borshay can't speak Korean, but the eyes of her birth family tell you all you need to know. Very well done.
