Short documentary on life of John Schueler. When a painter tries to explain what he is doing, it's sort of like a comic explaining what funny is. It can't be done. There is great footage of him actually creating artwork. In one installation, he painted a piece that was already hung on the wall and visitors could watch him work. He became part of the art. His finished pieces did nothing for me. Narrated by Campbell Scott.
