A REFUGEE AND ME

Story of college kid who meets a young Budhist monk in Thailand and ends up staying with him. The monk is a refugee from neighboring Myanmar who is subsequently thrown in jail because he lacks a Thai work visa. Our narrator flys back to Thailand to help him with his case and with acquiring a work visa. The monk, Tway, is almost unbelievably charismatic. He is quick to laugh, even in the face of poverty and brutality. Very well done on a tiny budget.
